Ancient Knowledge - Connecting with the Unseen
In Your Hidden Riches - Unleashing the Power of Ritual to Create a Life of Meaning and Purpose, by Janet Bray Attwood and Chris Attwood, the authors examined the role of ritual in cultures around the world. They shared some of the stories of seemingly miraculous things accomplished by indigenous people who applied the infinite capacity of the human mind to subjective experience.
The world’s most ancient texts say that only 25% of life is seen (i.e. available to our senses). 75% is unseen.
That’s why ancient cultures employ a variety of technologies to create alignment with this unseen part of life. Some of these have received extensive scientific verification.
The Beyul will use the ancient technologies of the Vedic tradition of India to create places that are aligned with natural law at every level of experience--from the most profound to the most mundane. His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi dedicated his life to reviving the ancient wisdom of the Veda. In all the 40 areas of Vedic knowledge, Maharishi brought his depth of understanding to bear so that these fields of knowledge could be used effectively in our modern world. This included bringing together representatives of the different families throughout India who have maintained different pieces of this knowledge in Sthapatya Veda, Jyotish, Ayur Veda, Gandharva Veda, and others.
As a result, this tradition offers profound and highly effective methods for enlivening the laws of nature beyond the reach of our senses.
The Beyul plans to make use of the powerful tools of this rich tradition without requiring Members to believe, accept, or adopt any practices themselves. The Vedic knowledge will simply be applied to create environments that are aligned with the laws of nature at the deepest levels and Members will be the beneficiaries.
